Aaron Mooy looks a decent player: competitive in the tackle and able to use either foot.

The thing about Taliska is that it's going to be a shady deal isn't it?

He is on loan at Besiktas and they can't afford to pay his transfer fee of €21m. So why is Benfica's Dir of Football flying to London with the player?

Because his value has gone up and Sullivan loves a deal for a Brazilian(!). Sullivan will have checked the price out today and it's probably closer to €40m.

Besiktas want WH to lend them the €21m plus a fee for them which will be cheaper than the price now direct with his Brazilian club. Of that you can be sure. Anyway if we get him he seems quite some player...

Because he is owned by Benfica and if Besiktas can't afford him and Benfica want rid they will sell to the highest bidder.

Sorry cornish! It's the Besiktas Director that is in London with the player not the Benfica Director.

Not much difference between Besiktas and Benfica is there!!!!?

West Ham lead chase for Huddersfield Town’s Aaron Mooy

Matt Hughes

Huddersfield Town will face a battle to keep Aaron Mooy as well as David Wagner this summer, with West Ham United leading the chase for the Australia midfielder.

Mooy (27), signed a three-year contract when becoming Huddersfield’s record signing in a £10 million move from Manchester City after the Yorkshire club’s promotion last summer. He is likely to be offered an enhanced deal to stay.

The midfielder is Huddersfield’s best-paid player on £32,000 a week, but West Ham would comfortably be able to double those wages.

The former Bolton Wanderers prospect would be a good signing for West Ham, who could do with a dynamic player like him in their midfield.

Jordan Greenidge, young Stoke striker

http://readwestham.com/2018/05/11/west-ham-prepare-deal-to-sign-stoke-citys-jordan-greenidge/

West Ham are preparing a deal to take Stoke City’s highly rated youngster Jordan Greenidge, reports Football Insider.

The Potters have failed to agree a new deal for the 18-year-old and it is expected he will move on in the summer.

Greenidge has been one of the best young talents at Stoke since signing for them in 2016 but they are braced to see him move for free with a number of clubs interested in his services.

This would be a massive blow to the Staffordshire club as, after relegation to the Championship, he would likely get a chance in the first team in pre-season.

He was named by Four Four Two as the next big thing at Stoke just this month.

The Hammers hope he will make his future with them after an impressive season in the Under 23’s and academy sides.

The prodigy has scored over 20 goals for Stoke’s academy side, as well as mustering 25 goals in 43 games for the under 23’s.

West Ham will face many rivals for Greenidge’s signature with Watford, Birmingham City and Fulham also interested in the Englishman but they’ll be confident of getting their man.

Arsenal and Manchester City eye West Ham's Vashon Neufville - sources

Peter O'Rourke

Arsenal and Manchester City are tracking teenage West Ham defender Vashon Neufville, sources close to the Hammers have told ESPN FC.

Left-back Neufville, who has represented England at under-16 and U17 level, has yet to make his first-team debut for West Ham but was a substitute for the FA Cup tie against Shrewsbury.

The 18-year-old, on Chelsea's books before joining West Ham as an U14 in 2014, came through the West Ham academy and has been a regular in their U23s this season.

He produced outstanding performances against City and Arsenal last month, bringing him to the attention of both clubs.

Neufville is entering the final year of his contract at West Ham after signing his first professional deal in 2016.

West Ham United are closing in on Derby County forward Luke Thomas, according to Gloucestershire Live.

The Premier League side have agreed a fee in excess of £1 million with Championship outfit Derby County for the highly-rated youngster.

Luke Thomas had a spell at West Bromwich Albion as a youngster but joined Cheltenham Town in 2015. He had a trial with Benfica in 2015 before he was later snapped up by Derby County in January 2016 from an undisclosed fee.

He was loaned out to National League North side Gloucester City for the 2016/17 season. He has since been a key player for Derby’s Under-23’s in this campaign and is highly-rated by the Rams.

Derby handed Thomas his first-team debut in November 2017 in a Championship fixture against QPR. However, they may have to accept losing him this summer with him looking set to join West Ham.

Derby may well be playing in the top flight next season if they are successful in the Play-Offs. They have to face Fulham over two legs as Gary Rowett’s side are hoping that this is the year that they finally make the next step into the Premier League.

Derby will be disappointed to lose Luke Thomas as he is being tipped for a big future. Their loss is West Ham’s gain and they will be hoping to strike a deal with the youngster over the coming months.
